The BT series vertical centrifugal pumps are heavy-duty, single-stage sump pumps engineered for the safe handling of corrosive fluids. Their defining structural advantage over standard process pumps is their sealless design, making them an exceptionally reliable solution for complex tank emptying applications.
Key Design Features:
This serie is designed to fit on ISO2858 for high performance.
All internal components are manufactured in a material corrosive.
The BT series features an advanced hydraulic design derived directly from our highly successful BN standardised process pumps. However, it is specifically engineered for vertical sump installations where the volute casing is fully submerged within the pumped liquid. This innovative configuration inherently eliminates the need for a mechanical seal, thereby completely eradicating the risk of external product leakage and all its associated maintenance challenges.
A critical operational advantage of this sealless architecture is its absolute ability to run dry indefinitely. Because there are no mechanical seal faces to generate friction, there is zero risk of temperature elevation or component failure during dry-running scenarios, ensuring maximum plant safety.
Installation flexibility & sump depths
Dimensionally, the BT series has been meticulously studied to offer maximum adaptability for various tank sizes. The standard configuration can be seamlessly adapted for sump depths of up to 3,000 mm without requiring a suction pipe. For deeper installations, the pump can be fitted with a specific suction extension pipe, extending its operational reach to depths of up to 4,500 mm.

Dimensional drawing
The schematic above details the critical installation parameters and general arrangement of the BT series vertical sump pumps. This dimensional drawing enables plant engineers to accurately verify mounting flange specifications, total equipment height, and the required sump depth clearances.
Designed for maximum installation flexibility, the customisable baseplate and vertical cantilevered architecture ensure a precise drop-in fit for both new and existing tank configurations.
Key improvements for the BT series:

The BT series provides exceptional installation versatility to accommodate diverse plant layouts, offering both internal and external mounting configurations.
The internal setup submerges the hydraulic components directly within the sump for optimal space efficiency, whilst the external arrangement positions the pump alongside the tank to facilitate easier maintenance access. Both highly adaptable configurations ensure completely sealless, leak-free operation when handling aggressive industrial fluids.
